FJ Cruiser comes with part time 4WD capability - this allows you to choose between 2WD and 4WD, depending on the type of terrain you're driving on.

When all four wheels aren't engaged full time, the demand on the car isn't as great. Disengaging the 4WD setting helps to save fuel, and drive more efficiently.

Locking Rear Differential

Once low range 4WD is engaged, you can also lock the rear differential - for greater handling and control on uneven ground.
